Dr. Khaniya was Born in Lamjung, Duradanda. He is from Chitwan. Dr. Tirth Raj Khaniya got his Master of English Educaton from University of Edinburgh. He did his Post Doctoral Researdh in Education under the Fulbright Program at George Washinton University, Washington D.C. USA.
About the Book:
Education is becoming more important than ever before for the national development of a country. The development of the system of education of a country largely depends upon how the persons responsible for policy making and managing it understand the whole process of reform brought about in it, and how they find our pathways for change. For this, it is necessary for a country to critically examine the existing system of education in light of how reforms in education are taking place elsewhere. Because of lack of a book of this sort, the B. Ed. and M. Ed. curriculum have not incorporated critical issues in the Nepalese education. In addition to contrbuting to all these issues, i believe that this book also offers useful insights for the future reforms of the system of education in Nepal.
