Here is a book, which describes briefly but analytically the fascinating story of the evolution of Nepal's administrative system from the very dawn of recorded history to the last days of Rana regime. Organized into four parts and six chapters, the first part of this book deals with the multi-dimensional aspects of the Kirata and Lichhavi administrative systems of ancient Nepal while the second part highlights the various facets of Malla administration of medieval Nepal. In the third part, the various dimension of administrative systems of pre- Rana and Rana period of modern Nepal have been focused, discussed and analysed. The last part infers some conclusions distilled from Nepal's invaluable and fascinating administrative history prefaced by the summary of what have been described, discussed and analysed in the earlier parts and chapters.
